Problem with page and chapter number appearing when clicking in the scroll bar
Using a MacBook Pro running OS 10.7.5 and Word 2011.
I work with long documents of about 150,000 words divided into chapters. When revising, I use Find/Replace a lot and frequently click on the "present position marker" (for want of the correct term) in the scroll bar to open the popup window with the page and chapter number to confirm exactly where I am in the document. When I first open the document for a new revision session, the page and chapter numbers shown in the popup window are accurate. But later, and I've never been able to figure out what I do to make this happen, the chapter number doesn't accurately reflect where I am. I can be looking at the "Chapter Thirty-Two" heading, for example, put the insertion point in the first paragraph of that chapter, click on the marker in the scroll bar and read "Chapter Twenty-Nine." I'm baffled as to why this is happening, and it's aggravating when not viewing the first page of a chapter with the heading displayed. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance for your help.
