Default Master document missing images present in Subdocument

Hey guys,

I did some advanced searches, but couldn't readily find anything similar to my issue so I was hoping somebody might be able to help me.

I have a master document that has several large subdocuments in it. The subdocuments are displaying very well, and the master document is displaying very well. However, when I open the master document and expand the subdocuments, about half way through Chapter 7, the images stop displaying. If I close the master document and then open the Chapter 7 subdocument, all the images are there. I'm using Word 2013.

Does anybody have any ideas on what to try to get all images to show in the Master Document?

Stop. Stop. Stop.
Save your work now.
If you have not read Master Documents "Feature" yet, do so now. It will explain why few people responding on these forums have much positive experience with it. John McGhie put it succinctly when he said that "there are two kinds of Master Documents: Those that are corrupt and those that will be corrupt soon."

Once you have read that, if you wish to continue using a Master Documents structure, say so and someone will try to help you.

Wow, thanks for the warning. Looks like there's virtually no doubt that it will lead to corruption. Guess I'll have to go the old fashioned way of using {RD docname} to generate the table of contents.

Thanks again, probably just saved me from disaster!
