In Word 2010, is there a way to use numbered paragraph headings with successive lines of text that are aligned with the left margin instead of starting under the first character in the first line of text? (I hope this isn't too confusing). Let me attempt to clarify:



1.1 Topic. First line of paragraph text.
Second line...
Third line...
And so forth....

As opposed to:

1.1 Topic. First line...
Second Line...
Third line...
Etc.

Well, that didn't work! Sorry. Disregard the above "As opposed to" example. I meant for the second and third lines to start under the "F" in the first line. That's what I am trying to avoid in my word document.

If I understand you correctly, you want to use three different numbered paragraphs/lines...all of which are aligned to the left. The above link will help you understand the styles and how to use them (i.e., using the styles Heading 1 for the 1st line; Heading 2 for the 2nd line; and, Heading 3 for the 3rd line).
