Default Batch edit mail merge macros?

Hello,

At work I support an application that uses hundreds of different Word 2003 docs as forms that pull in data via mail merge. Currently, the GenMerge and MergeSetup macros vary depending upon the document, who wrote the macros, etc. The plan is to make a standard for all docs. I have the macros we want to use as a template, but am not aware of a way other than opening each doc up individually, copying and pasting in the desired macro text and repeating, hundreds of times. Is there a way to automate this?

Thanks in advance
