Default Character style stripped while applying paragraph style

Hi all,

i am using ms-word 2003, i have faced new problem while applying style in paragraph.
character styles are (bod, italic, sup, sub) changed as normal while applying paragraph style. this problem happened only few paragraphs, all other paragraph styles are applied correctly. i can't identify exact problem on that problematic paragraphs.

it's msword bug or any other problem?

any one pls help me.

Regards,
sam
