using two columns question
I want to create a working procedure document and ideally i would have my page split into 2 coulmns, the left column having the instructions and the right column having any pictures or diagramns needed to preform the task.
I what need to know is how to split the columns so they are basically to different pages but on the same page, (that Make sense?). i want it so as i type and i reach the bottom of the left coulmn i continue onto the next page. and the right column would be clickabe so i could paste pictures... Is this possible? Thanks for you time Brian |

I would think a simple, 2-column table will be your best bet. Depending on your requirements, I would start with not setting a specific row height for any rows, but uncheck the default "Allow rows to break over pages" on the Row tab of the Table Properties dialogue. This may help keep related left- and right-hand material together better.
Note that table borders can be made invisible by selecting "None" in the Borders and Shading dialogue. Best, Ulodesk |

One more note:
Very long tables (10 pages and more) can become problematic, though this depends on a number of factors. You may wish to consider starting a new table every 10 pages (or less) if your document is going to be very long. |

so it is impossible to separate two columns on the same page? Crud, that was looking like the simplest way to do what i wanted.
Thanks for the reply |
