Header and footer first page only
How do I get the header and footer in my word document to only apply to the first page? In my page layout section under custom margins -- the "apply to" drop down box doesn't show this page only? (I see it another one of my documents but in this new doc I created it is not an option).

Insert > Header > Edit
This gives you access to the Header and Footer Tools tab. You can check the box. Header and Footer Tools Tab Sections / Headers and Footers in Microsoft Word 2007-2013
