Default Exclude style(s) from search & replace

Hi,

I'd like to perfom some wildcard search & replace within all used styles except the heading styles (1-4). Can I use some pattern to exclude a style / styles from a wildcard search?

If not: the alternative is alway a VBA procedure...

Thanks
NP

That's not possible via Find/Replace, even in VBA. What a VBA routine can do, though, is test each found string to establish what Style it's in before proceeding.

Thanks for your reply, Paul.

That's exactly what my procedure does, but I'm always looking for non-VBA solutions for those who do not want (or are not allowed) to use macros.
