I need to import a long list that was saved as .txt into word. In the .txt file there is no spacing between the items in the list; however, once you import it into word it automatically inserts spacing between them.
The list is over 10,000 items long so I need to be able to automatically format it. ![]() I tried experimenting with different options in the paragarph section of word to fix the problem but no luck so far. |

The spacing results from the spacing settings that apply to whatever paragraph Style your document uses as its default. To apply a format with 0 before/after spacing, use Ctrl-A, then Format|Paragraph to change the before & after spacing to 0.

Your image suggests you have empty paragraphs between the text lines. In that case, they're in the text file and the spaces would be in that too. You can remove them via Find/Replace, where:
Find = ^p^p Replace = ^p
