Once a month I compile minutes for my Club. It has been the custom to make the names of committee members appear in 'bold' format. I am finding it tedious to have to keep on making them 'bold' when typing and wondered if I could automate this process? There are nine names.

Sure. Make them AutoCorrect which can hold format including bold. For example:
Yogi Bear and assign it yb. You type yb and AutoCorrect puts in Yogi Bear, including the bold. |
