Default Quick Access Toolbar MS Word 2007

Hello,

I need some information on how to set up Bookmark tab for MS Word frequently used saved documents.

I sell unlock codes and i need to send them to customer with various instructions so I wanted to set up Bookmark Tab(like for internet browser) or Something that gives quick access to those documents in one click.

I currently click on Office button then i see list of pinned documents. This process involves two clicks but I am looking to save click

Thanks for any help.

Regards

Newbie

Hi,
Do you want to navigate through specific part of large document in a single click or you have multiple documents and you want to reach those documents in a single click?

1. You can add bookmark in Word to navigate easily to specific part of large document by following these steps.
  • Click where you want to insert bookmark.
  • On Menu bar click on Insert.
  • On the Insert tab, in Links group, click Bookmark.
  • Under Bookmark name, type or select a name.
  • Now click on Add.

2. You can add hyperlinks for multiple documents in a specific document and you can reach all documents by single click on hyperlinks.

Follow these steps to do it.
  • Select the text which you want to make hyperlink.
  • On Menu bar click on Insert.
  • On the Insert tab, in Links group, click Hyperlink.
  • In the Insert Hyperlink window select your document and clcik Ok.

Thumbs up

thanks for your time.

I think I am not explaining it properly as what I want to get from ms word.

I have different 5 different documents saved in ms word namely,

  1. How to enter code on aclatel
  2. How to enter code on samsung
  3. How to enter code on sony eric
  4. How to enter code on htc
  5. How to enter code on patech
when I get IMEI from customer, I generate an unlock code then I open one of those documents and copy the code to it..then copy & paste the whole message to customer.

I use all of the above 5 different documents frequently and I wanted a booksmark Tab somewhere in ms word so I can open up the required dcoments in one click. Exactly like BOOKMARK TAB where I have websites which I visit in one click... or exactly same like Favourite BAR in Internet Explorer.

I hope it make sense now!

You could save the documents' text as building blocks entries in a template in a custom building blocks gallery. That gallery could be added to your QAT, storing the QAT modification in the template.

If you load the template as a Global Template both the QAT modification and the building blocks would be available. In each of your pages I would put a Content Control or a MacroButton Field Prompt where you insert the code.

Otherwise, you could record a macro when opening each of your documents and put those macros on your QAT.
