Default Copied excel table does not display correctly in Word

I'm using MSOffice 2013 with a Windows 7 operating system

When I'm coping excel tables into a word document report using the paste special, paste link with Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object.

The pasted object in the word doc just shows the bottom line of the excel table; however the frame of the object displays when you click on it. In other words, the excel table doesn't come across on the word doc, even though it appears to be pasted. It may be located higher up in the document almost like is behind other text.

When a do the same "paste special" process and paste the excel table into a new blank word document, the excel table seems to display correct.

I would like to to keep all links interactive with the excel workbook because the data is updated periodically and its a hassle to make sure the word document matches the updates.

I saw another thread where someone had a similar issue, but I think it was related to a Windows 8 upgrade. This is a new word document that I setup in from scratch, but I'm wondering if it is a style formatting issue. I don't recall having this issue in the past with other word docs.

Has anyone experienced the same or similar issue?

This has nothing to do with your Windows upgrade, but is a result of how you have your document formatted.

Change the format of the paragraph you've pasted the table into from 'exact' line spacing to anything else.
