Hello,
I am creating a Fire Door inspection form in Microsoft Word 2010. I have created a dropdown list of the buildings. When I select a building from the dropdown menu, I would like the list of fire doors associated with that building to appear in another dropdown list so that the user can select one of the fire door options. Any advice on how to do this? I am completely new to dropdown menus.. |

Where would the information on the fire doors associated with each building be stored? Plus, unless you have a means of adding a new page to the document for each fire door (and we haven't yet addressed how one might decide which fire doors you want a report for), each one would require a new file of its own.

After much research, I have decided to repurpose the document in Excel. I do not believe that Word will have the functionality I desire without many, many hours of scripting and coding. I think Excel will be a much more viable method since I can create tabs associated with the different buildings and reference the desired data as cells or lists of cells.
