Default Canadian multilingual English

Unlike Word 2007 where you can choose Canadian Multilingual English (CME) as the preferred language, which allows you to type and spelling in French texts typed in CME languages, i.e. English and French, the new MS Word 2013 does not allow me to do spelling in texts typed in CME. I have to change the language preferences into Canadian French as opposed to CME before I can do the spell checking. If you were able to find a solution to that anomaly, please advise. Merci pour les Francophones.
