I have an extremely long document with dozens of tables, pictures, and texts boxes. I want the tables and pictures to be at the top of the page, centered, with the text flowing above and the below them. Basically, I want them to stay exactly were I put them, regardless of if I edit any text above it--I want the text to move, not the picture, table, or text box. I don't believe this should be as hard as it is--there most be some option, somewhere, that allows the picture to lock in place and not move anywhere for any reason. This is driving me crazy!

Any help would be immensely appreciated!

Note that Word doesn't give you full control over object placement. Each object whose Text Wrapping is not "In line with text is anchored to a paragraph, and the object will always be on the same page as its anchor.

To really have full control, you need to use page layout software such as Publisher.
