Hyperlink problems
When I opened several MS Word documents today I found that the hyperlinks have turned into the text of the html address.
e.g. if I were to apply a hyperlink to the world "Facebook" and insert https://www.facebook.com to the address in the "insert hyperlink" box, the word Facebook in the document then appears as {HYPERLINK "https://www.facebook.com"} How do I stop this and return to it simply saying "Facebook" with the word highlighted as being a hyperlink? I've tried removing the hyperlink but that leaves {HYPERLINK "https://www.facebook.com"} in the text! Thanks. |

The 'problem' is that you've toggled Word's field code display on. It can be toggled on/off via Alt-F9, or via File|Options|Advanced>Show Document Content>Show field codes instead of their values.
