Default How do I split a table into two in MS word?

Say if I have a table composed of 30 cells (5 columns and 6 rows). How do I split it into two separate tables each of which has 5columns and 3 rows?

Thx!

Via Table>Split Table! Simply put the insertion point anywhere in the row before which you want the table to split.

Select the cell that you want to combine and drag it across the other cell. Now go on Table tab and click on Merge Cells.

Unless you change either table's: column widths; indentation; or wrap format, that requires nothing more than deleting the paragraph break between them.

That is not applicable to combining two tables...

I usually split a table by putting my cursor somewhere in the row and pressing Ctrl-Enter, Backspace.

The Ctrl-Enter puts in a hard page break (and paragraph mark) above that row which forces a table split at that point. The Backspace then removes the hard page break but the paragraph mark remains so the table remains split.
