Default One Form with minor language changes

I currently have 5 different documents that virtually have the same information with the exception of a couple of paragraphs. The paragraphs that are different are based on different billing terms due to different contract type. Is it possible to have a drop down menu to pick the contract type and then that paragraph will populate automatically with different billing terms based on the contract type you select?

You have numerous options. For example, you could create:
1. a set of custom Quick Parts for each option and insert them as required;
2. a dropdown formfield or content control from which to choose the contract type, then have that selection trigger either the updating of fields or bookmarks in the document with the variable content;
3. a separate template for each contract type, then simply choose whichever one you want to base a given contract on. This is by far the simplest approach.

Default Thanks for the response

Looks like Option 2 is what I'm looking for. Option 3 makes sense but that would take all the fun out of it. Someone also mentioned "building blocks" in developer mode? It would be nice to type in a field "Time and Material" and then all the other blocks populate the Time and Material Terms and conditions. Conversly, someone types in "Fix Price" and all the terms populate. Out of the 30 clauses or so, only about 5 change based on the specific contract type.

For a fairly simple demonstration, see the attached. The document has two content controls - one being a dropdown, the other being a text control that gets populated according to the dropdown selection. In this case, all of the variable content is held in the content control. For your purposes, that content might be held in the macro itself and different portions output to a range of content controls located wherever you need them in the document. The update process is driven by a macro that you can access via Alt-F11.

That's what custom Quick Parts create & use.
