Default Help with the "find and replace" option; character problem

Hi,

Each time i tell Word to find .html" and replace it with EN.html" ,
i get instead this: EN.html»

The problem comes from the
» at the end, which should instead be "

It's a big problem, because the text is destined for a webpage creation, and the
» isn't recognised.

Thanks for your help.

For the replacement expression, try using:
EN.html^34

Basically, it's just a matter of knowing that the plain double-quote character is ASCII 34 - which is what the ^34 represents. Using that prevents Word substituting the desired plain double-quote with anything else (e.g. smart quotes or other auto-correct options).
