documents are missing spaces when opened in older versions of office
Office 2013
I started to get complaints from people that the Word files I send them are missing spaces between the words. These people are running older versions of Office, like 2007, for instance. They had no problem until recently with the .docx files I send them, but something has changed. I could save files in .doc format, of course, but is there any real solution to the problem? |

You have already found the workaround: use the *.doc format instead.
For more on the underlying issue, see http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/o...9-9e37bddf82d8 (DOCX Incompatible Between Word 2010 and Word 2007 - randomly drops spaces from between words).
