I am living in Thailand and every 90 days I have to go to Immigration to confirm my address. Before doing this I download Word document TM 47 from http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004...?page=download. In Windows 7 I could add requested info but in Windows 8.1 I can still open form in Office 2013 but read-only so no details can be added.
Know that different Office's have different extensions but am I just having bad luck and have to wait till Immigration update their download forms or is there another solution? Thanks for any suggestions offered also if this turns out to be a no go issue. At least I know then I do not have to search any further. |

I have no trouble opening & updating the form in the Word .doc format. Are you sure you're downloading that and not the .pdf version?

Macropod,
I may be old but I know how to handle a computer so I indeed opened Word doc and not pdf. Anyway I now saved this document as Microsoft Open Office doc and can edit it. Maybe it had something to do with the correct rights to the maps etc. I changed that too but still cannot edit original document. Problem not completely solved but I can manage. Thanks for your reaction. |
