While typing in a word document I hit the control and shift keys I think by mistake. I now have little dots in between each word and a strange symbol that looks a little like a musical note spread about sporadically. I can't remove this. It shows up on all of my documents now. Apparently I changed formatting maybe. Can anyone tell me what I did and how to remove this? Thank you in advance, Dave |

Ctrl+* (Ctrl+Shift+8)
Showing non-printing formatting marks in Microsoft Word These marks can be very useful in helping you figure out why your document is doing what it is doing. Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 02-10-2014 at 06:57 AM. |

Follow these steps for Word 2013:
1. Go on File tab. 2. Now click on Display. 3. Now you will see the Always show these formatting marks on the screen section. 4. In this formatting marks section uncheck all those symbols that you want to remove from your document or you can uncheck all. |
