Default Photos embedded in Word doc: Can I download them simultaneously?

As it says on the tin, I'm working with Word docs, each of which has around 40 photos embedded in them, and need to download the photos.

At the moment I have to right-click each photo and choose Save As Picture.

Is there a way of downloading all ~40 photos at once?

Thanks in advance
J

Yes, but...
Quality may be degraded and you'll have to figure out which is which.

Save the document as a web page. The pictures will all be saved in the accompanying folder. Close Word. Once you have the pictures renamed and in a different folder, you can delete the web page and the folder will be deleted as well.

If it's a .docx or .docm format file, you can make a copy, change the extension to .zip, then open the .zip archive & extract all the images.
