Annoying pop-up to update TOC on Print
I have updated to 2013 at work and now find that when I send a document with a TOC to print, I get a pop-up dialogue for updating the TOC, with the choice of page numbers only or entire contents. This happens even if I have done no editing in the document, just opened it and tried to print.
I have searched through all the setting in Options, but can't seem to locate the one that is causing this happen. Help, please. |
For Word 2010 the option responsible for this is "File > Options > Display > Update fields before Printing". Maybe the last option is slightly wrong - should be sth like this (I'm using a German Word). Don't know what happened to it in 2013 version ...
Hope that helps |
Thank you! I skipped over Display, not imagining it would be there. Live and learn.

Do you have any {today's date} fields in the document? in my usual environment, these mean that just opening a file is enough to make it "updated".

Fields
It made no difference. The previous answer is the solution.
Thanks. |
