Footnotes problem
footnotes all come out as 1's even if the do not appear as 1's on the screen |

Ron: I have split your thread off from the unrelated one to which you attached your reply and moved it to what I believe is the correct forum (Word). If your post does indeed relate to Visio, I can move it back to that forum - as a new thread (which is what it should be, anyway).

Now your orphaned question has arrived on this particular doorstep, Ron, may we ask for a bit more context? is it the content or the call-out that's always 1 – is it the call-out in the body text, the call-out for the footnote or both?

I use endnotes but the issue is the same- they are correct in the original but then when i start them as if they were a different document- the numbering all change to "1".

Are you creating the footnotes & endnotes via References>Insert Footnote & References>Insert Endnote? Are you using the continuous numbering setting for both?
Have you tried repairing the Office installation (via Word Options|Resources|Diagnose)?
