Default Find and Replace not working

Hi Guys-

Find and replace isn't working and it is driving me crazy. I go to correct the errors and the message comes up saying they've been replaced but as I go back over my paper I can see they haven't been.
Please help.

How can we possibly help if you tell us nothing? Are you doing this manually? By code? What errors? Do you have error messages? What message (and when) are you getting a message stating the actions have worked?
