Default save as filtered HTML – force graphics format to .png

I have to rescue a couple of hundred screenshots that have been pasted in to a .docx file.

Save as Filtered HTML does the expected neat job of hoicking all the graphics out into a separate folder, but opts to make them into jpg files. I would far prefer png – is there a way I can set this as a preference?

Thanks in advance.

In the Web Options dialog box, check the box for "Allow PNG as a graphics format."

You can find this dialog box by opening the Save As dialog box, and choosing Web Options from the Tools drop-down menu.

I would not rely on this working every time.

Well, there's an option I might not have found without help! thanks. Sadly, it's "allow" and not "force" :-{ but now I've been able to determine it doesn't do what I need, I've completed the task by saving from .docx to .pdf and extracting graphics with Acrobat instead. More than one way …
