I have my book manuscript in 8.5x11 format with 1 inch margins. I generated an index using the concordance file method. Assuming the locations of the field codes for index entries are tied to text locations, not to page numbers, I would like to be able to change the margins to, say, 4.5x7.5, and regenerate an index for the new pagination.
Can I do that? If not, do I have to undo the inserted field codes, reformat, and then regenerate the iondex using the same concordance file? Thanks for any advice. MS WORD for PC, WORD 2000 |
