It's usually to do with the printer settings, rather than Word.
Try going to the Control Panel and going into the printer settings - See if you can change the printer defaults there. NOTE: If you are using a computer at work, it may have software on it that will reset any changes after every logoff - I would suggest a quick call to your tech centre first!
