Default Screen display is messed up

Out of nowhere the document displayed on the PC screen does not look like the document which is printed. On then screen the text lines are much wider than the finla print -the print preview and final print are correct, it is the display which is widened. Suggestions please

Thank you
poppi

First thing to check is the zoom. Maybe it is larger than 100%? You can drag the slider at the bottom right of the Word window.

Tried that and it does affect the width of the display (changes the number of words/line) but it extremely sensitive and still does not exactly match the printed format.

Note that 100% does not mean that page size equals the size of a printed page. Screen resolution and monitor dimensions determine how large 100% displays. This is by design.
