I have a large document that has been split into two separate documents. At the beginning of the second document, it is set to begin at page number 1374. My problem is in two other places in the middle of the second document, the page number again resets to this number. If I go to that page number and click on it and then click on the option to "Continue from the previous section", it fixes that page number, but then resets on the next page.
I'm sure there is a code somewhere on that page to reset the page number, but I don't know how to search for it and don't know how to remove it. I don't want to go to every page and override it to continue with the previos section. Removing the footer and then re-adding it doesn't work as the page reset problem reappears. Is there a way to search or remove a "Page Reset" field / instruction in Word 2010? Thank you. |

Page numbering is a section property and they can be reset each time you start a new section. Each section has three headers and three footers, you may have set page numbers in each of the three. (Not all headers or footers are necessarily displayed, but they are there.) You need to display section breaks to attempt to make sense of what is happening.
