Question Can't open huge Word 2003 doc (more than 32MB of text)

Hello, I have a user who has a Word 2003 document that is over 1.5GB in size. Yes, 1.5GB. It apparently has more than 32MB of text in it, because when he tries to open it, he gets an error message that says that the file exceeds this 32MB limit and can't be opened.

Tried to do an Open and Repair on it, but no luck.

Discounting the question as to why Word allowed this file to get so big that it exceeded the limit in the first place...now what? Is there any way around this so that the file can be opened and possibly split into smaller files?

Thanks for any help.
