PDF Convert Format Issue
I am using Word 2010 and ScanSnap. While trying to make new lease forms from some existing, I scanned the old forms in ScanSnap and converted to a Word Doc. This process was done using Abbyy Fine Reader. I am having difficulties with the formatting. It seems as if the original form was made using tables although I can't seem to see any gridlines rather just the tab locations on the tab bar/ruler(?).
I would like to just end up with all of the words of this 12 page document on a blank sheet with no formatting of tables or anything else. I could the set about creating my own form. The reason I don't just re-type the whole form is I do not type. Can someone help? |

If your scanning process has included text recognition, then to get just the unformatted text, open the PDF and save as text.

I use the same software and it is great - for many things, but not this. There is no good conversion software to Word for editing.
Try opening the pdf and copying the text from it into Word, pasting as plain text, with no formatting. Then do your formatting. Note that there are likely to be mistakes in the OCR as well. Proofread and then have someone else proofread! |
