Default why is my template not showing up in autotext area?

HI! I am trying to save an autotext to a global template that I have saved in the startup folder of word. However when I go to save the autotext I do not see my global template ( only the defaults ones )

How do I save to my own template? what am I doing wrong?

Plz help as I have been at this all night and still no cigar

Check to make sure that your global is actually loaded. The simple way to do this is to use the Document Template button on the Developer Tab. It should be checked under Add-Ins.

I assume you are using Alt-F3 and getting the dialog box with the area to choose "Save In."

Maybe the easiest thing to do would be to start over ... save the autotext in the template BEFORE you make the template a global template
