Default Permanently enabling COM Add-ins

I have Dragon Natural Speak 12.5, which has a COM Add-in for Word. I am running Windows 7. Unfortunately in Word 2013 it doesn't work (it worked in all previous versions of word).

My problem is that I have to enable the add in every time I open Word following the instructions from the Microsoft Engineer in this forum: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/o...=1380509425241

I have tried opening up the 'normal.dotm', then enabling the add-in and saving it, but that doesn't work.

Any help?

Since it isn't working correctly, have you looked at the manufacturer's web site for an updated version of the add-in?

If Dragon won't fix it, you are left with the choice of finding an installation of Word 2010 that it is certified to work with, or giving up using DNS.

I have used DNS extensively over the years, finally deciding that I can type faster than I can use its transcriptions.
