Reversing Text Order
Hi all first post here, hope someone can be of assistance. I run a website for local football team, as part of that site we offer up to the minute updates of matches as they are being played. All the updates are displayed on a web page with the most recent one appearing at the top.
After each match my plan was to archive the updates for reference, the problem I have is that I copy and paste into word but as the most recent update is at the top, it is like reading it backwards. Basically what i would like to do is have the last line first, the second last line second etc etc. Forgive me if I have not explained this too well. |

I would set up an Excel Spreadsheet with column A being a numbered list. Example... A1 will be 1, A2 will 2 and so on. Now, copy your website info and paste into B1. Depending on the formatting of the web page, you should end up with each block of info on it's own row with a number in column A. Now, simply highlight the data and sort by column A as Descending. Now, copy the data from B1 forward over to MS Word.

You could do it with a macro!
Copy and paste the data (I take it that it's in a table) Record new macro Highlight the entire table (hover the mouse just ABOVE the table until it turns into a black arrow pointing downwards - click and hold as you move it over all the columns until highlighted) Click Sort (or Data > Sort) Choose the column to sort by Stop the macro Now you can run the macro each time you paste the data! |

Thanks for the suggestion but the text is not diplayed in a table, it is standard text with each chunk of text as a paragraph. Ill used the excel suggestion on a couple of matches and it works good so will stick with that just now.
