Hello all,

I seem to have sorted out my automatic numbering of headings, but now I wish to link to that number throughout my document. So if I have

1. Heading X

and I link the 1. on next page. If I then decide that I wish to have another heading before Heading X, lets say Heading Y so I get

1. Heading Y
2. Heading X

I would like the linked 1. on the next page to automatically update to 2.



Is this possible?

Thanks, but I meant how do I set up the links?

If you are referring to cross-references, create them via References tab | Cross-reference.

Note that you have to force an update of the cross-reference fields. Fields in the selection can be updated with F9, but switching to Print Preview (Ctrl+F2) and then back to your previous view (ESC) applies to all cross-references at once (no matter what is selected).
