Telephone Hyperlinks?
In Word 2010 can and how do I hyperlink telephone numbers?
Will they work if someone has 2003 or 2007 versions? If not, is there any 3rd party software? |

I should have explained it better
Can I link the phone numbers in Word and then make a PDF and then load it onto a cell Or do I have to JavaScript each number in the PDF Never done this before so I am not sure which is the best approach The Word file is the base document so any future changes happen there Any advice would be appreciated |

AFAIK, tags such as:
<a href="tel:1-847-555-5555">1-847-555-5555</a> only work with HTML on smartphones. Not Word, although possibly 2013...I don't know. Ditto for it working from a PDF. Last edited by fumei; 12-03-2013 at 10:12 PM. |

FWIW, Skype includes an Addin that automatically 'interprets' numbers in Word that look remotely like phone numbers, so you can click on them to call the number. A real PITA IMHO.

Frankly I would avoid add-ins from Skype.

But it's a Microsoft product now, isn't it, so it must surely work perfectly with other Microsoft products <rofl>
