Default Unable to insert AutoShapes

Hi, I'm currently using Word 2003 and I'm facing a very strange problem.

The problem arises after I change the font for the 'Normal' style to a font called 'LucidaMacBold'. After the font has been changed, if I try to insert an AutoShape into the document from the Drawing toolbar (i.e. an arrow), the document view will be switched to the 'Normal' view and the AutoShape is not inserted at all.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and if there is any way at all of resolving this problem.

Any and all help regarding this matter would be appreciated.

Thank you.

P.S. The 'LucidaMacBold' font can be downloaded from HERE.
