Unable to vertically center align texts in table cells?

Table Cell Alignment.docx

Please see the attached document.
No matter how I set the cell alignment, the highlighted cells cannot be properly aligned (as stated in the post title).

Any help is appreciated!

It has to do with the style of text that you are using (it is set to have 6pt spacing after). For example, I changed the column of text to "body text" and made sure the spacing before/after was set to "0". See your attached file.

Could I ask,
first, how to change the column of text to "body text"?
second, the style of text: why is it set to have 6pt spacing after? The point was that I saw the spacing after 0pt in my Word application.

What I've just found myself is that
if I change the Line and Paragraph Spacing from 1.5 to 1.0 (that of the right column)
or
if I change the highlighted (in the left column) texts to the Normal style,
the Align Center property comes into effect.
