Default RESOLVED - 'Research Pane' keeps popping up

First I will say.... I have done a lot of searching on this issue and have done all I could find to resolve this.

What I want to do and have been able to in the past is....
I will have a list of songs that have numbers in the front.
I have always been able to:
1> Click on a start point
2> Hold the ALT key down
3> Click and drag vertically to highlight only the numbers and hit Delete.
Done.

Now when I hold down the ALT key and start to drag the Research Pane comes up.
I'm sure you have heard of this.

What I have tried already.
1> Made sure everything was unchecked in the Research Options.
2> Went into File|Options|Customize Ribbon > Keyboard Shortcuts: Customize > Categories: Commands not in Ribbon > Commands: ResearchLookup > Current Keys: Ctrl-Shift-O > Remove.
3> Went into File|Options|Trust Center|Trust Center Settings and unchecked "Allow the research task pane to check for and install new services"
4> Add/Remove Programs ---> Microsoft Office ---> Add or Remove Features ---> expand Office Tools ---> disable Research Explorer Bar
THIS FEATURE IS NOT LISTED.
5> HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\C ommon\
Delete 'Research' on Left side.
6> From Word, press Alt-F11 to open the VB Editor. Press Ctrl-G to open the Immediate Window.
Type this line and press Enter:
Application.CommandBars("Research").Enabled = False
When I do this the Research button does not pop up anymore but it also does not highlight anything.

Does anyone else have a solution?

Thanks,
Debbie

Now I check for this feature on my work PC and it does just fine.
What is different is:
>Research has boxes checked in the options.
>There is no shortcut key assigned to 'ResearchLookup'.
>The "Allow the research task pane to check for and install new services" is still checked in the Options|Trust Center.

Not sure why it works at work but not at home.

Ok, I discovered something and why this is happening.
I'm not sure what type of format the text is in when you copy/paste using the keyboard but it doesn't like it and the Research Pane come up.......

If you right click and paste 'Keep Text Only' the ALT+Drag works perfectly.

Hope this helps other out there.
