How do I create a field entry that replaces a text?

Default How do I create a field entry that replaces a text?

I'm trying to create a form where people can insert their information.

For example,

[Name]
[Telephone Number]
[Address]

When someone clicks on these texts inside the brackets, the whole text is highlighted, and can be replaced with his actual name, number, etc.

How do I create these insert fields?

If the only edits allowed in the form are the ones you specify, you could use formfields in conjunction with 'filling in forms' protection. See:

Alternatively, if the forms users are all using Word 2007 & later on PCs only, you could use content controls. See:

If you do not want the rest protected from user modification, the classic method is that used in the oldest templates - the MacroButton Field prompt.
