Spacing between words (not a justified or cntrl+shift+8 issue)
Hi,
I have a question about spacing… As simple as it may seem (and should be), this is giving me a lot of trouble. I am making a word document and some of the spacing between words is much bigger than it should be (almost like there were two spaces). Now, before you respond, know that I have already checked the following:

Rather than taking a guess at it, it would be helpful if you could post a word file similar to the one you are having problems with so that I and other users can see your problem and more readily offer solutions.

I have the same problem.
In the image I selected both spaces. Text is aligned to the left I noticed that it also happens with other fonts, so it's not caused by just 1 font. |

Changing to courier (monospaced) did fix it. Additionally,it looks fine in pdf.
Still not an ideal fix though, because I need to use calibri. |

If you need to work with Calibri then I assume all others will experience the same problem, so then I would not bother about it if I were you.
A solution I found; One other thing that might have an effect is to go to Office button > Word Options > Advanced > Display and check the box for "Optimize character positioning for layout rather than readability". Then again, it might not do anything noticeable. But I assume this must be set on word itself, so if you send the file to someone else he/she might see the spacing different. @JimP what purpose would sending a file have? just open yours and try out the examples, you should get the same |

If you are saying that this is a display issue only, selecting the "Optimize character positioning for layout rather than readability" at File tab | Options | Advanced (as suggested by Evolta) should work.
If the document also looks strange on printout, then something else is wrong, and sharing an example document would make troubleshooting easier.
