Thanks. I've reviewed the page. I've made a note of the different file locations for future reference. But you are correct, our building blocks are stored in our template, not in the building block document.

Obviously, I'm going to have to search for a workaround solution. As a matter of fact, I am ordering a copy of Office 2007 so I can test possible solutions. All computers in my office have 2010 so I'll work on my personal computer.

If the other building blocks in my template create the same problem, I'm out of luck. I am praying that it's just the cover page and table of contents that generate the problem. I never imagined that a feature present in 2007 and in 2010 would not be backward compatible, but it looks as if that's the case.

I appreciate your response. I'm going to leave this post open in case anyone has some ideas and to report what I find in testing. It may help someone else with the same problem.
