Default Default settings don't stay when default language changes

Because of my line of work, I have to switch between Arabic and English a lot. I have no problem doing that.

Additionally, I get annoyed with Calibri-11 setting (as most papers in the real world use Times New Roman 12) so I change the default settings accordingly for new documents. I have no problem with this either.

My problem is that whenever I change the default language, it reverts back to Calibri-11 for new documents. Even if I set the default for both Arabic and English, it still doesn't remember anything when I switch back again. Please help.
