Language Bar (Vista, Word 2007)
I sometimes type in other languages, or copy and paste different texts of different languages into Word. Because the default language is English (United States), usually when I paste in a different language, it'll underline all the words. Sometimes when it's another Latin-based language, usually French or Spanish, it'll recognize it and automatically switch to that language, but when it's not, it usually doesn't recognize it. A few days ago, I pasted some Burmese text into Word. It underlined the entire text, so I clicked the bottom language button to change the language to Burmese. Usually when I'm finished with a document, close down Word, and re-open it. The languages I used for that time only have dropped back down into the list (except ones I've picked stay above the line) I will try to upload a picture of this in case you have no idea what I'm talking about. Well, usually if the language is still above the line, I just go to Word Options and click on Language Settings. There it has two columns - one that says Available editing languages, and another that say Enabled editing languages. However, my problem is, when I go to this it doesn't have Burmese in either box. When I click on the language bar that's at the bottom of the document(s), it still has Burmese above the line, as if it was one of the enabled editing languages I chose. I know this may seem like a minor problem, and truthfully it is, but does anyone have any suggestions how I can fix it. I've thought of re-installing Word, but I was hoping there'd be something I could try before I resort to that. Thank you in advance and please tell me if I'm not clear enough!
