F7 in word 2002 to bring up spell check dialog box non working
Went to spell check a document; hit F7 and the dialog box does not come up -- never had this happen before; button works fine, but I'm used to the key stroke and like it -- XY PRo SP3, did some auto updates last night; thought it may be this particular document, but doesn't work in any other one as well. Can someone help me?

In the Customize Keyboard dialog box, verify that the F7 key is assigned to the ToolsProofing command.
In Word 2002, you can open the dialog box by clicking Tools | Customize | Customize.

And, if you need to reassign the F7 key to do that, you can.
Tools > Customize > Keyboard (Button) Find it under the All Commands section (left column) The command you are looking for is ToolsProofing If it already has F7 assigned it will say so. If it does not, assign it now. If it already has that assigned but isn't working, write back. |
