I got a file word file from someone and there is a blue column on the right side a place to write comments. How do I get rid of this. I don't know what it is or how to use it. I have tried left clicking in the space double clicking and I am getting no where. Any help would be appreciated

In 2010, you could try Review > Show markup and turn comments off. However:

• I believe that seeing the comment area means there's actually a comment lurking somewhere in the document
• don't know whether this works the same way in 2007

Turn off Track Changes (if the feature is now enabled), accept all changes and delete all comments in the document. See also http://shaunakelly.com/word/sharing/...TrackedChanges.
