Did quite a bit of searching, but did not find anything about this. If there is a thread please tell me a link.
I have an old version of Microsoft Word X for Mac (Word:mac) from around 2003 or so. It recently stopped letting me type! I can open documents, edit them from the pull down menus, but cannot type, copy-paste, etc. Same machine I've always used (Imac pre-IBM chip). Very strange. I have un-installed and re-installed twice. I have tried different keyboards with the same result. Previously I had some difficulties with the computer because of some bad SDRAM. I replaced the bad DIMM. I have enough memory to exceed what is listed in the system requirements for the program. Oh, and I can type in other programs like TextEdit, etc. Any ideas? thanks! |
