Spaces between words, help!
Hello, I'm using Word 2010. Some sentences in my document have large default spaces between the words; the one thing that does help is adjusting spacing in paragraphs to align left but i'm not sure if that's the correct way to do this? Any tips is appreciated. thanks!

Hi, cheffie. Aligning left avoids an extra stretching of word spacing, and yes, that's the usual approach, especially if you are not using hyphenation. Another possibility you can check, if you still see issues, is whether extra spaces have been typed between words. This is done by displaying hidden characters. On the Home tab of the ribbon, in the Font section, you'll see a paragraph sign (a sort of backwards P) at top right. Click it to activate, and you'll see dots for word spaces. If there are two or more between words, simply delete them. When you wish, click again on the ribbon symbol to stop displaying these non-printing characters. You can also toggle display on and off by holding the Ctrl and Shift keys down together and pressing the 8 key above your letter keyboard.

Thanks Ulodesk! I did try the Paragraph sign option but there were no extra spaces.
